Maelezo ya Kozi
This course explores the biblical, theological, and practical role of the Church in promoting holistic community transformation. Grounded in Reformed theology and the doctrine of the cultural mandate, it presents the Church not only as a spiritual body but also as a redemptive presence in the world—called to love its neighbor, pursue justice, and participate in the renewal of society.
Students will learn how to integrate evangelism, discipleship, and social action through the framework of Word and deed ministry. Key topics include poverty alleviation, education, healthcare, economic empowerment, gender and family issues, environmental stewardship, and advocacy.
Case studies from Africa and the Global South will be used to illustrate both fruitful and flawed approaches to development.
