Maelezo ya Kozi
This course offers a critical survey of major theological developments from the Enlightenment to the present, focusing on how various schools of thought have shaped and challenged the Church's understanding of Scripture, doctrine, and authority. The course traces the trajectory of modern theology through key movements and figures including Liberal Theology, Existential Theology, Neo-Orthodoxy, Process Theology, Liberation Theology, Feminist Theology, Postmodern Theology, and Global Theologies.
While the course seeks to understand these movements in their historical and cultural contexts, it evaluates each of them through a Reformed theological lens—upholding the authority of Scripture, the centrality of the gospel, and the sufficiency of Christ.
Students will be trained to engage thoughtfully with modern theological trends, develop discernment in evaluating theological innovation, and affirm the necessity of historic, confessional Christianity in the modern world.
