The Study of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes

1.5 saa za mkopo

Maelezo ya Kozi

This course offers a theological and pastoral study of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, two essential books of biblical wisdom literature. While both books seek to answer how one should live faithfully before God, they do so from complementary angles: Proverbs emphasizes practical wisdom rooted in the fear of the Lord, while Ecclesiastes probes the meaning of life "under the sun" in a world marked by vanity, uncertainty, and death.

The course, grounded in Reformed theology, treats wisdom as covenantal rather than merely philosophical—deeply connected to the fear of the Lord and the path of righteousness.

Special focus will be given to how Christ is the fulfillment of biblical wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24, Colossians 2:3), and how believers are called to live wisely by walking in union with Him.
