In order to qualify for graduation from Shekinah Theological Seminary, a student must satisfy the following requirements:
The student must successfully complete all prescribed courses in their program of study, attaining a passing grade in each course.
The student must have earned the total number of credit hours required for the certificate or diploma program.
The student must demonstrate consistent participation in the spiritual life of the seminary, including:
The student must maintain a record of good moral character and Christian conduct, showing respect to faculty, fellow students, and the seminary community.
The student must actively participate in assigned ministry and fieldwork programs as part of their training.
All tuition fees and any other financial obligations to the seminary must be fully settled before graduation.
The student must be recommended for graduation by the faculty and administration, confirming that all academic, spiritual, and ethical requirements have been met.
STS welcomes applicants from diverse educational, denominational, and cultural backgrounds who demonstrate a sincere calling to Christian ministry and a willingness to be trained for faithful service. Our admission process is guided by both academic readiness and spiritual commitment.
Applicants must meet the following basic criteria:
Standard Seven (Tanzania)
Ordinary Level (Form IV) or equivalent — no prior theological background required
Advanced Level (Form VI) or a recognized theological certificate from an accredited institution
STS also admits mature applicants who may not have completed formal academic qualifications but can demonstrate significant ministry experience and spiritual maturity.

All applicants may be required to attend a brief interview (in person or by phone) with the Dean of Admissions or a designated faculty member. This is to assess the applicant's motivation, spiritual maturity, and readiness for theological study.
Before admission, applicants will participate in an assessment process that includes the following components:
To evaluate the applicant's level of understanding of the Bible.
To determine calling to ministry, readiness for theological studies, and willingness to learn.
