Program Overview

The full program is designed to be completed within a period of three academic years, consisting of six semesters. Each semester provides focused instruction on core theological disciplines and practical ministry skills.

At Shekinah Theological Seminary (STS), all courses offered within the Certificate and Diploma programs carry a standard weight of 1.5 Credit Hours.

Each course is designed to reflect a balance between classroom instruction, independent study, and practical application, ensuring that students gain both academic knowledge and ministry skills.

STS's theological program is purposefully designed to serve:

• Ordained pastors and church leaders currently engaged in ministry but lacking formal theological training.
• Aspiring ministers and evangelists preparing to enter church service.
• New students with no prior theological education but with a clear calling and commitment to serve the Church.

Courses are offered in both English and Swahili, making theological education accessible to a wider demographic while nurturing bilingual theological fluency.

In addition to the main academic program, STS offers evening classes that provide students with practical ministry tools such as:

STS maintains a strong emphasis on spiritual formation. Students are required to participate in daily chapel services, where they engage in worship, prayer, preaching, and spiritual reflection.

Classes are conducted from Monday to Saturday, and learning continues uninterrupted even on national public holidays, ensuring that students receive the maximum benefit from their training.
