Maelezo ya Kozi

This course offers a comprehensive overview of the New Testament, covering its 27 books with a focus on their historical background, literary structure, theological content, and pastoral significance. Students will trace the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, the birth and expansion of the early Church, the teachings of the apostles, and the future hope revealed in the Book of Revelation.

Rather than deep exegesis, this survey highlights each book's unique contribution to the message of the gospel and the mission of the Church. Key themes such as grace, faith, kingdom, discipleship, church unity, suffering, and eschatology are explored. Special attention is given to the continuity between the New and Old Testaments, showing how Christ fulfills Old Testament prophecies and covenants.

This course equips students with the theological, historical, and practical tools needed to understand and teach the New Testament with clarity and faithfulness. Emphasis will be placed on how New Testament teaching addresses challenges in the African Church, including leadership, justice, persecution, church growth, and spiritual warfare.
