Modern Evangelism and Church Planting in Africa
Maelezo ya Kozi
This course explores the theology, strategies, and practical dynamics of evangelism and church planting in the African context. It equips students with a biblical foundation for gospel proclamation, examines historical and contemporary evangelistic movements, and offers practical tools for effective and sustainable church planting across rural and urban Africa.
Grounded in the Reformed understanding of the gospel, the course emphasizes the sovereignty of God in salvation, the centrality of biblical preaching, the call to make disciples, and the planting of healthy, Word-centered churches. Students will critically assess popular evangelistic methods, confront common distortions such as prosperity-based evangelism, and develop contextualized yet theologically sound models for evangelism and church multiplication.
