Maelezo ya Kozi
The Book of Daniel presents a compelling fusion of history and prophecy, revealing God's sovereignty over nations and His faithfulness to His covenant people in exile. This course offers an in-depth theological and literary study of Daniel, focusing on its narrative sections (chapters 1–6) and apocalyptic visions (chapters 7–12).
Students will examine how Daniel teaches trust in God's rule during persecution, the hope of final judgment and deliverance, and the coming of an everlasting kingdom. Special attention will be given to the messianic prophecies, the "Son of Man," and how Daniel's visions inform both biblical theology and eschatology.
From a Reformed perspective, Daniel is interpreted as part of God's unfolding covenantal story—anchored in His providence, promises, and redemptive plan culminating in Christ. Application will focus on faithfulness in exile, spiritual resistance to worldly powers, and gospel hope amid suffering—highly relevant for African Christians facing political, social, or spiritual pressure.
