Christian Counseling for Marriage and Family

Maelezo ya Kozi

This course offers a biblical and pastoral approach to counseling individuals, couples, and families within the context of Christian marriage and family life. Rooted in Reformed theology and the sufficiency of Scripture, it equips students with theological principles, practical skills, and counseling models for addressing relational, emotional, and spiritual issues in marriage and family dynamics.

Marriage is explored as a covenantal, Christ-centered union instituted by God, not merely a human contract. The course examines foundational biblical teachings on gender roles, intimacy, communication, forgiveness, parenting, and family worship.

While incorporating insights from the behavioral sciences where appropriate, the course emphasizes the authority of God's Word in shaping the roles and responsibilities within Christian households.
