Maelezo ya Kozi
This course provides an in-depth theological and literary study of the prophetic books of Jeremiah and Ezekiel, focusing on their messages of judgment, hope, covenant renewal, and the glory of God in exile. Both prophets ministered during the traumatic period surrounding the fall of Jerusalem and the Babylonian exile.
Jeremiah, often referred to as the "weeping prophet," delivers God's Word to a rebellious people with deep personal suffering and unflinching faithfulness. His prophecies call for covenant renewal, expose false religion, and anticipate the coming of a new covenant written on the heart. Ezekiel, a priest turned prophet in exile, delivers powerful visions of God's glory, symbolic acts of judgment, and oracles of restoration.
From a Reformed theological perspective, the course examines how both books contribute to biblical theology, pointing forward to Christ and the fulfillment of God's redemptive plan.
