Ministry Seminar and Preparation for Ordination
Maelezo ya Kozi
This capstone course is designed to prepare final-year theological students for ordination and lifelong pastoral ministry. It offers a structured environment for reviewing, integrating, and affirming the doctrinal, spiritual, and practical competencies required for ordained service in the church.
Students will engage in seminar-style discussions, doctrinal review, mock ordination interviews, and ministerial self-assessments. The course also explores the biblical qualifications for eldership (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1), the meaning and process of ordination, and the vows and responsibilities that come with pastoral office.
By the end of the course, students should be able to clearly express their theological convictions, demonstrate maturity of character, and show readiness to serve as ordained ministers of Word and Sacrament.
